Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
echo·11 is currently a free, invite-only beta. No payments are collected and no paid subscription is offered.
echo.|| (“echo,” “we,” “us”) makes a sound-based wellness app for relaxation and focus. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We collect as little as possible — during the beta, everything stays on your own device.
1. Who we are
echo·11 is a personal project by Shira Sarid, an independent creator based in Israel — not a registered company. For any privacy question, contact shirasarid@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Account information
During the beta, sign-in only personalizes the app on your own device. No account is created on any server, and no identifier, email address, or password is transmitted to us or to anyone else.
Usage & preferences
To power your streak, history, and saved favorites, the app stores which frequencies you play, your saved favorites, and session length (how long a frequency played) — locally in your browser’s storage, on your own device. This data is never transmitted to a server. We do not record, store, or transmit any audio, microphone input, or your surroundings — audio is generated mathematically on your device.
Usage analytics
To learn which frequencies people use, echo·11 uses Google Analytics (Google’s gtag.js) — the same service used on our website, echo11.app. It records anonymous, aggregate events: that a page was opened, that a frequency session was started or completed (its name, frequency and length), plus general information such as device type, browser, referring site and approximate country. Your listening history, favorites and streaks are never sent.
Analytics cookies are off until you choose “Accept” in the app. If you decline, Google Analytics runs without cookies and without identifying your device across visits. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser. See Google’s Privacy Policy for how Google processes this data.
We do not use tracking pixels or advertising tools.
Hosting & fonts
Like any website, echo·11 is delivered by technical service providers: the site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA), and its typefaces load from the Google Fonts and jsDelivr content-delivery networks. When your browser requests a page or a font file, these providers receive your IP address and standard request headers, as required to deliver the file, and may keep short-lived technical logs. We receive no information from them and none of your in-app data (history, favorites, streaks) is ever sent to them.
Guest use
Guest mode and signed-in mode currently behave the same way: everything is stored only on your device.
3. How we use information
- To provide core features: playback, favorites, streaks, and listening history.
- To keep the app reliable and secure.
4. Tracking & advertising
We do not use third-party advertising and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by US state privacy laws.
5. How information is processed and shared
Today: with no one, apart from the technical delivery described above (hosting and fonts) and the anonymous usage events sent to Google Analytics — never your listening history. Because your in-app data never leaves your device, there is nothing for us to share. If a future version syncs data to a server (for example, to back up your history across devices), this policy will be updated first and the change announced in the app.
6. Payments
None. The beta is free: no payments are collected, no subscription is offered, and no payment information is ever requested.
7. Data retention
Your data lives in your browser’s local storage and stays there until you remove it. Delete it at any time from the app — Profile → Delete my account — which permanently clears your listening history, streaks, saved frequencies, and preferences from the device. Clearing your browser’s site data does the same.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing (GDPR), or to opt out of “sale”/“sharing” (US state laws — note we do neither). To exercise any right, email shirasarid@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
9. Children
echo.|| is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security & international transfers
Your in-app data is stored only on your device and is protected by your device’s own security — we transfer none of it. The technical requests described in section 2 (hosting and font delivery) are processed on servers that may be located outside your country, including in the United States.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, in-app notice.
